Start-up Services
This service
is right for you if you are new to national or European funding,
and if you need some assistance with getting started with your
scientific research proposal.
We will
help with:
- Identification of the funding opportunities available for
your research project
- Matching your research idea to a relevant funding scheme
- Explanation of the funding application process
- Preliminary analysis of your research idea, and preparation
of a Proposal Development Plan.
Proposal
Evaluation Services - Packages A, B and C
If you have
already started to develop and write your research proposal,
but need to have the proposal evaluated by experts before final
submission to the funding body, we will help with:
- Package A: One-stage evaluation. This involves one
evaluation of the research proposal at any stage of its development
pre-submission to the funding body. The evaluation is conducted
by an experienced EC evaluator. An evaluation report is provided
to the client, along with recommendations for revisions.
- Package B: Two-stage evaluation. This involves two
evaluations of the research proposal at any stage of its development
pre-submission to funding body. The first evaluation is conducted
by an experienced EC evaluator, normally on an early version
of the proposal. The subsequent evaluation report is discussed
at a meeting with the Project team, attended by the Evaluator.
A second evaluation is conducted on a later version of the
proposal, followed by the second evaluation report with recommendations
for revisions.
- Package C: Three-stage evaluation. This comprehensive
evaluation service includes all of the services in the two-stage
evaluation above, with one additional evaluation cycle. This
is normally availed of by clients who require an evaluation
service at the early, mid and final stages of the proposal
development.

Management Services
The process
of developing a research proposal can be complex - monitoring
proposal calls, finding partners, agreeing the research agenda,
scheduling the work, writing the proposal, agreeing the project
deliverables and milestones, allocating tasks and sticking to
the internal deadlines, reviewing and editing, preparing financial
tables, managing tasks and people, normally operating to a very
strict time-frame!
We offer
a number of management services during the proposal development
phase. Depending on your requirements, we will:
- monitor proposal calls to identify the most relevant Call
Topic and Funding Scheme
- arrange meetings with relevant EC personnel to discuss your
research idea
- plan the proposal preparation phase and allocate writing
tasks to partners
- co-ordinate the proposal preparation activities between
the partners
- manage document editing and revisions
- monitor the progress of the proposal writing
- plan and attend proposal meetings
- read and evaluate the proposal as it is being prepared and
make recommendations
- create a budget based on expenditure proposals
- liaise with the Project Coordinator to assist in the creation
of a final document for submission to the funding authority
